The Fredenstein U70F is the LED Peak-Program-Meter with simultaneous RMS indication. Each channel uses 60 LEDs for an impressive detailed display.

There are two ranges: -39 to +20dB at 1 dB resolution or -19.5dB to +10dB at 0.5dB resolution. There is also a switchable peak hold function with 2.5 second or indefinite hold (manual reset). There are also 4 dot and bar display modes that make sense visually. The meter ballistics were also carefully chosen with familiarity being a key factor.

The back panel features XLR inputs with “pass-thru” XLR outputs, to simplify wiring (no “Y” cables). It is available as a desktop unit or as a rack-mountable 19 inch 1U enclosure.

The U70F was designed with accurate digital recording in mind and intended for those that prefer clean accurate meters put in clear line-of-sight. Sometimes the producer and muscians appreciate meters they can see too. Sometimes those on-screen meters are just not easily read from across the control room or are covered by a crowded screen when you need them.

U1631

16 Channels Of Analog Metering

The Fredenstein U1631 is a 16 channel peak meter calibrated in RMS values. Each of the 16 bar graphs consists of 31 LEDs. An indication of 0 dB reflects an input signal of +4 dBm.

The display is non-multiplexed for flicker-free operation with an extremely high update rate of 10 kHz to avoid any delays in the visualization. The resolution of the meter is 60 dB, from 0 dB to +10 dB in 1 dB steps, from -20 dB to 0dB in 2 dB steps, and from -50 dB to -20 dB in 3 dB steps. The +10 dB LED is colored red, 0db to +9 dB yellow, and below 0db green.

Two standard DB25 connectors, each carrying eight channels, on the back-panel feed the meter unit.

U1631D

16 Channels Of Metering VIA DANTE

The Fredenstein U1631D is a 16 channel peak meter calibrated in dBfs (dB of digital full scale). Each of the 16 bar graphs consists of 31 LEDs. The resolutions is from 0 dB to -10 dB in 1 dB steps, from -10 dB to -30dB in 2 dB steps, and from -30 dB to -60 dB in 3 dB steps. The “OVER” LED (0dBfs) is red, from -1 dBfs to -10dBfs LEDs are yellow and below -10 dBfs  green.

All the bar graphs are non-multiplexed for flicker-free operation  with an extremely high update rate of 10 kHz to avoid any delays in the visualization.

Two standard Ethernet connectors (RJ45) on the back-panel provide the DANTE* connectivity, automatically switching between 100 M or 1 G depending on your networking equipment.
